Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival, providing friendly and professional service from the moment they walk in
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Open table or similar software
• Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about menu options if needed
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand, managing seating flow to optimize restaurant efficiency
• Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information and taking reservations as needed
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction
• Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly, escalating issues to management when necessary

Requirements

• Proven experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality roles within restaurants or hotels
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Knowledge of food service operations and restaurant procedures
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Open table or similar platforms
• Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Previous food service experience is preferred; hotel experience is a plus but not required

Pay: $17.95 per hour
