Responsibilities

• Greet guests with genuine warmth and enthusiasm as they arrive, providing a positive first impression
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating efficiently to optimize table turnover
• Answer phone calls promptly, professionally, and courteously, handling reservation inquiries and guest questions
• Maintain organized waitlists and coordinate with servers to ensure timely seating arrangements
• Assist guests with seating arrangements, provide menus, and answer basic questions about the restaurant offerings
• Support food safety and cleanliness standards by ensuring the dining area remains tidy and welcoming
• Use restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to update reservations and seating status accurately

Requirements

• Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Excellent organizational skills to manage waitlists, reservations, and guest flow smoothly
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating times, and guest counts accurately
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper phone etiquette to ensure guest satisfaction
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and guest relations
