Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our dynamic hospitality team! Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive
• Manage restaurant reservations using advanced table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, maintaining accurate records and waitlists
• Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
• Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations, answering inquiries, and providing information about the restaurant’s offerings
• Assist guests with seating preferences and special requests, ensuring their needs are met with care and attention to detail
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, including menus and reservation logs
• Collaborate closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless guest flow and timely service

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred; hospitality background is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members
• Proficiency in restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
• Basic math skills for managing seating charts, wait times, and reservation schedules
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper restaurant hygiene practices
• Experience with POS systems is advantageous; familiarity with Micros POS or Aloha POS is desirable
• Ability to handle phone communication professionally, demonstrating good phone etiquette at all times
• Demonstrated guest service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest relations
