Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a memorable and positive dining experience from the moment they arrive. In this vital role, you will manage restaurant reservations, greet guests with enthusiasm, and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently. Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating requests with accuracy and efficiency
• Coordinate table assignments to optimize seating flow and minimize wait times using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, assisting with reservation inquiries and guest questions
• Maintain organized waiting lists, monitor table turnover, and communicate wait times clearly to guests
• Support food service staff by ensuring guest needs are promptly addressed and guest relations are prioritized
• Uphold food safety standards and cleanliness in the host/hostess station while adhering to hospitality best practices

Experience

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a busy restaurant environment is preferred
• Strong background in restaurant reservation management and guest services
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle phone communication professionally
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and billing support if needed
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality principles to ensure a safe and welcoming environment

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
