Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Manage reservations and walk-in seating requests with precision, ensuring smooth flow during busy hours.
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to optimize table turnover and seating arrangements, maintaining organizational excellence.
• Assist guests with seating arrangements, provide menus, and answer questions about food safety standards and restaurant offerings.
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand area, ensuring all guest relations are handled with care and attention to detail.
• Support overall guest services by addressing guest concerns promptly and courteously, fostering positive guest relations throughout their visit.

Experience

• Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a positive attitude!
• Experience in food service or hospitality roles that involve customer interaction will help you excel in this position.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances your ability to succeed.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective phone communication, guest interactions, and team coordination.
• Basic math skills are needed for handling reservations, managing waitlists, and processing transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and POS systems supports smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Organizational skills are key to managing multiple tasks efficiently during busy service hours.

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
