Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and personable Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Your primary duties will include managing reservations, greeting guests, coordinating seating arrangements, and ensuring smooth flow of the dining experience. This position offers an opportunity to showcase excellent communication skills and hospitality expertise while supporting our commitment to guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive guest services to foster a positive first impression.
• Manage restaurant reservation systems efficiently to accommodate walk-ins and reservations.
• Coordinate seating arrangements using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Communicate clearly with guests regarding wait times, menu options, and restaurant policies via phone or in person.
• Maintain organized waitlists and ensure timely seating of guests to optimize restaurant flow.
• Handle phone inquiries professionally, demonstrating proper phone etiquette and effective communication skills.
• Support food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness in the host station area and adhering to health regulations.
• Assist with guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in a similar food service role is preferred.
• Strong background in restaurant reservation management and guest services.
• Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently with strong organizational skills.
• Basic math skills for managing reservations and seating charts accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices.
• Previous experience working with POS systems is advantageous.
• Demonstrated professionalism in customer interactions and team collaboration.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
