Duties

• Greet guests warmly with a friendly attitude, making them feel welcome and valued.
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Toast POS.
• Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, providing information and taking reservations accurately.
• Organize seating arrangements and manage waitlists to optimize table turnover and guest flow.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area.
• Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper hygiene practices when handling menus or guest belongings.

Skills

• Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant or food service environment.
• Strong communication skills, including clear verbal expression and active listening.
• Proficiency with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems like Toast POS
• Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety procedures and hospitality best practices.
• Basic math skills for managing reservations, seating counts, and guest billing when necessary.

Pay: $12.00 per hour
