Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team! Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage their seating preferences to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
• Handle restaurant reservation management using POS-based table management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and confirm bookings
• Maintain accurate records of reservations, waitlists, and guest preferences to ensure seamless service flow
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to communicate guest needs and special requests effectively
• Monitor table turnover and manage wait times efficiently to maximize seating capacity
• Uphold food safety standards by ensuring proper handling of guest information and maintaining cleanliness in the host station

Skills

• Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a similar food service role with strong customer service skills
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Excellent communication skills, including phone communication and etiquette
• Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow smoothly
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and billing procedures when necessary
• Knowledge of food safety practices relevant to hospitality environments
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting while maintaining a positive attitude
• Hospitality-focused mindset with a passion for guest relations and creating memorable experiences
