Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their visit. Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings efficiently
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, ensuring a smooth seating process
• Manage waiting lists during busy periods with professionalism and courtesy
• Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, taking reservations and responding to enquiries
• Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely seating and service
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the host/hostess station and waiting areas
• Assist guests with any special requests or needs, providing outstanding guest services
• Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly, escalating issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on courteous interaction
• Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
• Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Familiarity with serving procedures and hospitality standards is desirable
• A professional attitude with good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
