Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and taking reservations as needed
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely seating and smooth guest flow throughout service hours
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times
• Support guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously
• Assist with basic food safety practices to uphold hygiene standards in the front-of-house area

Skills

• Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service, demonstrating excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on friendly phone communication and etiquette
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining organization under pressure
• Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and billing processes
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure guest well-being
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred but not required
