Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly with a positive attitude and genuine hospitality, making them feel at home
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Escort guests to their tables, ensuring smooth seating arrangements and waitlist management
• Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing accurate information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries following proper phone etiquette
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests, managing expectations effectively
• Assist with guest relations by addressing special requests and ensuring guest comfort throughout their visit
• Support food service staff by coordinating table turnover and ensuring cleanliness and readiness of dining areas

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with guests and team members
• Proficiency in restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with POS systems is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling waitlists, reservations, and billing procedures when necessary
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper restaurant hygiene practices
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
• Professional phone etiquette and clear communication skills are essential for guest interactions
