Duties

• Greet guests warmly with a friendly attitude, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued upon arrival
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times and reservation details while practicing excellent phone etiquette
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status
• Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and provide accurate information about the restaurant’s offerings
• Support food service staff by managing guest flow and ensuring smooth seating transitions

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Proficiency in restaurant reservation management and restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and billing procedures
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest requests efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
• Ability to handle phone communication professionally, demonstrating good phone etiquette at all times
• Previous experience with POS systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided for systems like Micros POS or Aloha POS
