Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage their seating preferences to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
• Handle restaurant reservation management using industry-standard systems such as Toast POS and Opentable reservations
• Maintain accurate restaurant table management systems to track seating, waiting lists, and reservations
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while practicing excellent phone etiquette
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and guest service readiness
• Assist with guest services by addressing special requests, providing directions within the restaurant, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
• Uphold food safety standards and maintain cleanliness in the host/hostess station and waiting areas

Experience

• Prior host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
• Experience managing restaurant reservations and table assignments efficiently
• Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as toast POS Opentable reservations is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone communication and etiquette
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and guest counts accurately
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to enhance guest relations
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests simultaneously

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
