Host/Hostess – The Motley Cow

Windward Restaurant Concepts, LLC is a Vero Beach-based hospitality group behind three distinctive concepts: The Blu Fin, Turtle Cove Market, and The Motley Cow. Our focus is creating exceptional food, beverage, and hospitality experiences while building teams that take pride in genuine service and attention to detail.

The Motley Cow is our lively tiki bar and restaurant, built around great food, creative cocktails, an energetic atmosphere, and memorable hospitality. We are seeking a friendly, polished, and energetic Host/Hostess to create a warm and welcoming experience for every guest.

As the first and last point of contact, the Host/Hostess plays an important role in setting the tone for the guest experience while helping maintain smooth guest flow and an organized dining room.

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly and create a welcoming first impression
• Escort guests to their tables and introduce them to their server
• Manage reservations and waitlists accurately using the restaurant reservation system
• Confirm reservations and accommodate special requests whenever possible
• Provide guests with accurate wait times and reservation information
• Optimize seating and table rotation to support efficient dining room flow
• Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and managers regarding seating and table turns
• Maintain accurate reservations and seating charts
• Assist with large parties, special events, VIP guests, and special requests
• Communicate guest preferences, allergies, and special requests to the service team
• Answer phones professionally and assist with reservation inquiries
• Maintain accurate guest profiles and reservation records
• Keep the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas clean, organized, and inviting
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures
• Maintain a polished, professional appearance that reflects The Motley Cow brand

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of host/hostess or hospitality experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, energetic, and professional demeanor
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to remain composed and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer and reservation-system knowledge
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Experience with OpenTable, Resy, or a similar reservation platform is a plus
• Upscale dining or high-volume restaurant experience is a plus
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
