Host/Hostess

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, effective communication, and a passion for hospitality.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Manage the seating chart and efficiently assign tables to optimize service flow.
• Communicate wait times to guests and keep them informed throughout their visit.
• Assist with guest inquiries and provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
• Utilize Aloha POS system to manage reservations and track guest preferences.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, addressing reservations or inquiries as needed.
• Foster strong guest relations by providing attentive service and addressing any concerns promptly.

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to help guests feel valued and appreciated.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus but can be learned on the job.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
• A passion for guest services and hospitality is essential to succeed in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
