Host/Hostess

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable dining experience from the moment they arrive.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage restaurant call aheads and walk-in seating to optimize table turnover
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
• Maintain organized waiting lists and seating charts
• Assist with guest inquiries, provide accurate wait times, and address special requests or needs
• Uphold food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness in the host/hostess station and adherence to hygiene protocols

Skills

• Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant environment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and guest counts accurately
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being
• Ability to remain calm under pressure during busy service hours while maintaining a positive attitude

Pay: $16.90 per hour
