Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly and energetic demeanor, making them feel valued from the moment they arrive
• Manage reservations efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems and coordinate seating to optimize flow and reduce wait times
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation procedures in the host/hostess station and dining area to ensure food safety standards are met
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate guest seating and special requests
• Assist with managing waitlists during busy hours, providing accurate wait times and updates to guests
• Support food safety management practices by adhering to sanitation procedures and health regulations
• Handle guest inquiries courteously, resolving concerns promptly to ensure maximum satisfaction

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service or hospitality environments; restaurant experience is highly preferred
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, food safety standards, and food safety management practices
• Familiarity with POS systems for reservation management and guest check-in processes
• Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude and energetic presence
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods during busy service hours
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing reservations and guest flow
• A proactive team player committed to creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
