Duties

• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive, providing friendly and attentive guest services
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating requests efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as TOAST POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization while minimizing wait times
• Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assisting with reservations, inquiries, and guest needs
• Maintain accurate records of reservations, waitlists, and guest preferences to enhance guest relations
• Support food safety standards by communicating effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests or dietary needs
• Assist in organizing the dining area to ensure cleanliness, safety, and a welcoming atmosphere

Experience

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a busy restaurant environment is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally and courteously
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette
• Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and guest billing when necessary
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety procedures and hospitality best practices to ensure a safe dining environment

Pay: From $10.00 per hour
