Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and welcoming Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable dining experience from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times
• Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, providing information and taking reservations as needed
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
• Assist with guest inquiries, direct them to appropriate staff, and support overall guest relations efforts
• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the host stand area, adhering to food safety standards

Skills

• Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role within a restaurant environment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent phone etiquette
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic math skills for managing reservations and seating calculations
• Familiarity with POS systems including Micros POS and other restaurant table management tools
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage waitlists, reservations, and guest flow effectively
• Experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred but not required
• Knowledge of food safety standards and guest service best practices
• Positive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 29.0 per week
