Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and valued. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit and ensuring bookings are managed on the day to day.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimise guest flow.
• Communicate effectively with both guests and staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Help maintain a clean and organised front-of-house area, ensuring it meets our high standards of presentation.
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to provide outstanding guest services and address any concerns promptly.
• Assist in managing waitlists during busy periods, keeping guests informed of wait times.

Experience

• Previous experience in hosting a hotel or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
• A background in hospitality or guest services will be advantageous.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
