Duties

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly attitude, providing excellent customer service from arrival to departure
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and seating charts efficiently using restaurant table management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while practicing proper phone etiquette
• Coordinate guest seating to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times, ensuring smooth restaurant operations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, including menus and reservation logs
• Assist with guest relations by addressing special requests or concerns courteously and promptly
• Support food safety protocols by following proper hygiene practices during guest interactions

Experience

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with restaurant operations and guest services
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members
• Experience using restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist management, and POS transactions
• Knowledge of phone communication best practices and phone etiquette to create positive guest interactions
• Familiarity with food safety standards and hospitality principles to ensure guest well-being and satisfaction
