Host/Hostess

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences for our Breakfast Shift. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit. This position requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest flow efficiently in a busy restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements using Aloha POS or similar systems.
• Assist guests with inquiries and provide information about menu items and specials.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, addressing guest inquiries and reservations.
• Monitor dining room activity to optimize seating efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Provide assistance to guests as needed, ensuring their needs are met promptly.

Experience

• · Greets customers as soon as they walk through the door

· Provides patrons with accurate wait time estimates during busy periods

· Maintains a neat, organized front-of-house environment

· Seats guests and takes initial drink orders as needed to ensure ideal speed of service

· Introduces guests to their servers

· Assists with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed

· Ensures knowledge with food and beverage menu

· Rotates seating between different stations to ensure even workloads for wait staff

· Answers phones and schedules reservations for large parties

· Inspects dining facilities to ensure cleanliness and buss as necessary

· Folds silverware to keep up with guest demands

· Sanitizes all areas as needed

· Answers customers questions accurately and professionally

· Attends to all guest needs with continuous follow up in communication

· Creates kid packets

· Assists with food running as needed

· Assists with resetting dining room before and after shift

· Ensures seating log is accurate at all times

· Performs other related duties as assigned

Pay: $17.00 per hour
