YOUR ROLE

As Host / Hostess in our Bar Montez, you will be the first and last impression of our vibrant bar experience, creating memorable moments through warm hospitality, genuine care, and exceptional attention to detail. You will oversee guest arrivals, reservations, and seating arrangements while ensuring a seamless flow of service throughout the venue. Working closely with the Bar Manager, Assistant Bar Manager, and service team, you will deliver personalized experiences that reflect Rosewood's philosophy of relationship hospitality and luxury service excellence.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Welcome and farewell guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality, creating memorable first and last impressions.
• Recognize returning guests, hotel residents, and VIPs, ensuring personalized service and guest recognition.
• Manage reservations, guest inquiries, and special requests across all communication channels with accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate seating arrangements and table allocations to optimize guest flow and enhance the overall guest experience.
• Maintain accurate guest profiles, preferences, special occasions, and reservation details to support personalized service.
• Act as a central point of contact for guest requests, handling concerns professionally and ensuring timely follow-up.
• Support the planning and execution of group bookings, private events, and special occasions in coordination with the management team.
• Collaborate closely with the bar and service teams to ensure smooth operations, seamless communication, and exceptional service delivery.
• Maintain a welcoming, organized, and elegant host area that reflects the standards of Rosewood Munich.
• Stay informed about menus, events, promotions, hotel facilities, and local recommendations to provide knowledgeable guest assistance.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

• Completed vocational training in Hospitality or a related field.
• Previous experience in a Host / Hostess, Guest Relations, Reservations, Front Office, or Food & Beverage role within a luxury hospitality environment.
• A true host mentality with a naturally warm, engaging, and guest-focused approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident and professional presence.
• Strong organizational abilities and exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience managing reservations and guest communications in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to remain calm, poised, and solution-oriented while handling multiple priorities.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with operational departments.
• Excellent German and English language skills; additional languages are considered a strong advantage.
• Passion for creating personalized guest experiences and exceeding expectations.
• Flexibility, professionalism, and a genuine enthusiasm for luxury hospitality.

Rosewood Munich opened in Autumn 2023 as the brand’s first property in Germany and seventh property in Europe. Housed in two landmark, historical buildings comprised of the former headquarters of the State Bank of Bavaria and the adjacent Palais Neuhaus-Preysing, a former grand aristocratic residence, Rosewood Munich is ideally situated on Kardinal-Faulhaber-Strasse in the heart of the historic city center.
