As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests with enthusiasm, and ensuring smooth seating and waitlist procedures. Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously, providing a friendly first impression.
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Maintain an organized waitlist, accurately estimating wait times and communicating updates clearly to guests via phone or in person.
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries.
• Coordinate seating arrangements with the dining staff to optimize table utilization and guest flow.
• Uphold food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and proper handling of reservation materials.
• Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns politely and efficiently, enhancing overall guest experience.

Skills

• Proven experience in hosting or front-of-house roles within a restaurant or food service environment.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management and familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Effective communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction.
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and managing waitlists accurately.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests simultaneously.
• Understanding of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
