Host/Serve Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and personable Host/Serve Assistant to join our vibrant hospitality team! Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing exceptional guest relations and ensuring a positive first impression
• Manage restaurant reservations using various table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest experience
• Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, handling reservation inquiries and guest requests promptly
• Assist servers with food delivery, order accuracy, and timely service to enhance guest satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, waiting area, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety standards
• Support the team by handling guest inquiries, managing waitlists, and providing excellent customer service throughout their visit

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is preferred
• Food service experience and familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems are highly desirable
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating efficiently
• Understanding of food safety protocols and restaurant operations standards
• Experience in guest services, hospitality, or customer relations roles is beneficial
• Ability to handle phone communication professionally while maintaining a friendly demeanor

Pay: $20.42 - $28.20 per hour
