Host/Server Assistant

River Street Hospitality is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Host/Server Assistant to join our team at our Desposito's location. This role is essential in providing exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well taken care of.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
• Buss tables promptly to maintain cleanliness and readiness for incoming guests.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise during their dining experience.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions to effectively inform guests.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations regarding food handling and safety.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, including roles in serving, bussing, or kitchen operations.
• Familiarity with banquet service is a plus, as well as any culinary or hotel experience that enhances guest services.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with guests and team members.
• A background in food handling practices and food safety regulations is highly desirable.
