Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest flow, ensuring timely service.
• Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and confirm bookings.
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests.
• Support servers by managing guest seating, delivering menus, and assisting with guest needs throughout their dining experience.
• Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host station area.
• Use POS systems to process reservations and handle guest billing when necessary.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or server in a restaurant setting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems such as Toast POS.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Basic math skills for handling guest checks and payments accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a lively environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Previous food service experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
