Restaurant Host / Server-in-Training

We’re looking for an energetic, friendly, and hospitality-minded Host to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment, and is interested in growing into a server position over time.

The Position

The Host is the first point of contact for our guests and plays an important role in creating a warm, welcoming experience from the moment they arrive. This position is approximately 2–4 shifts per week, with shifts averaging around 5 hours.

For the right person, this role is designed to provide server training and opportunities to transition into serving, including covering server shifts as you become comfortable with the restaurant, menu, and service standards.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests and create a welcoming first impression
• Manage the restaurant’s reservation system and accurately maintain the waitlist
• Seat guests efficiently while balancing table availability and server sections
• Answer phones and assist guests with questions and requests
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting host stand
• Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and the kitchen
• Assist the team wherever needed during service
• Learn our menu, service standards, and restaurant operations
• Participate in server training with the goal of eventually transitioning into a server role or covering server shifts

• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
• POS experience required
• Resy experience preferred
• Interest in learning and growing into a server position
• A positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed

Schedule & Pay

• 2–4 shifts per week
• Shifts are approximately 5 hours
• Starting pay is minimum wage
• Opportunity for additional hours and server shifts as training progresses
• Opportunity for growth within the restaurant
