Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and personable Host/Server to join our vibrant restaurant Tokio Denver team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face that greets guests, manages reservations, and ensures a seamless dining experience from start to finish. Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly, manage reservations using OpenTable or similar systems, and seat them promptly
• Take and relay accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros or Aloha POS
• Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales records
• Upsell menu items, wine pairings, and specialty drinks to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Serve food and beverages with professionalism, including cocktail service, spirits knowledge, and beverage presentation
• Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
• Maintain guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
• Follow food safety protocols and sanitation standards diligently throughout all service activities

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including host/hostess or server roles
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations and sales processing
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while managing time efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and processing sales quickly
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
• Experience with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is a plus for supporting food preparation or understanding menu items
• Nightclub or fine dining experience preferred for dynamic service environments
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact positively with guests
