Duties

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival, manage waitlists, and seat them efficiently using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar platforms
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation in accordance with food safety guidelines
• Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, handling cash handling responsibilities with integrity and precision
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the dining experience

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable reservation platform
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Ability to upsell effectively by recommending beverages like wine or spirits and enhancing the overall dining experience
• Culinary experience or food industry background preferred; knowledge of food safety practices essential
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Beverage service expertise including cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink presentation
• Familiarity with sanitation standards for food handling and serving in a hospitality setting
• Strong communication skills coupled with a positive attitude that fosters guest satisfaction and team collaboration
