Whether managing reservations, guiding guests to their tables, or delivering exceptional beverage and food service, you'll be at the heart of our vibrant restaurant environment. Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations using OpenTable or similar systems, and seat guests efficiently to optimize flow.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions swiftly and accurately.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, cocktails, and menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales through upselling techniques.
• Serve food and beverages with professionalism, ensuring proper food handling, sanitation standards, and adherence to food safety protocols.
• Clear tables promptly after guests finish dining, bussing and resetting tables to maintain a clean and inviting environment.
• Manage cash handling and processing of sales transactions accurately while maintaining excellent guest relations throughout the service experience.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while maintaining high standards of hospitality and guest service.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service roles such as host/hostess or server within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for efficient order entry and transaction processing.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations gracefully.
• Demonstrated ability in upselling beverages like wine and spirits, along with cocktail experience preferred.
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables or reservations simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, sales processing, and bill calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
• Experience with beverage service including spirits knowledge, drink preparation, and serving alcohol responsibly.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and possibly nightclub shifts; previous nightclub or fine dining experience is a plus.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
