Hot Section Chef

Walk in Interview - Al Sayyad Al Bahri Restaurant and Grill - Bain Al Jasrain branch مطعم ومشاوي الصياد فرع بين الجسرين Monday to Thursday - 3pm - 6 pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook seafood dishes such as grilled fish, fried prawns, calamari, seafood curries, and Arabic specialties (e.g., sayadiya, grilled hammour)
• Clean, cut, marinate, and portion seafood items as per restaurant standards
• Ensure freshness and proper handling of seafood at all times
• Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and stoves efficiently
• Follow standard recipes to maintain consistency in taste and presentation
• Coordinate with cold kitchen and prep team for smooth service
• Monitor stock levels of seafood and ingredients; report shortages
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness as per HACCP and UAE food safety regulations
• Ensure proper storage (chillers/freezers) and avoid cross-contamination
• Work under pressure during busy service hours

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2–4 years experience in seafood cooking, preferably in an Arabic restaurant
• Knowledge of Arabic seafood dishes and spices
• Experience handling fish, prawns, calamari, and other seafood
• Basic culinary certification is an advantage
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
