Hot Shot Driver

As a key player in our logistics network, you will be responsible for transporting time-sensitive cargo using specialized equipment, ensuring on-time delivery while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties

• Safely operate 1 tons with a gooseneck over local routes.
• Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, forklifts, or with assistance from rig crew.
• Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet tight delivery schedules
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and other safety standards
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit, especially when handling hazardous or dangerous goods
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and readiness; report any issues promptly
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with regulations

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements tanker preferred
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving in various vehicle types
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles confidently and safely
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT safety standards
• Ability to keep accurate logs for deliveries and vehicle equipment assigned
• Experience with GPS navigation tools and route planning software for efficient deliveries
• Strong manual handling skills for loading/unloading cargo safely and effectively
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance
