Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, across over-the-road (OTR) routes to deliver freight promptly.
• Load and unload cargo with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with Hazardous Materials Regulations.
• Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes, monitor traffic conditions, and meet delivery deadlines consistently.
• Transport automobiles or specialized freight via automobile transportation equipment, adhering to all safety standards.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and deliveries in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, and any issues encountered during transit.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving for freight transportation companies.
• Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including logistics cargo handling for various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning software to optimize delivery schedules.
• Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently under diverse conditions.
• Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, Hazardous Materials Regulations, and Hazardous Materials Regulations for safe handling of dangerous goods.
• Skilled in manual handling techniques necessary for load & unload tasks while maintaining safety standards.
• Excellent driving record demonstrating safe commercial truck driving practices over long distances on OTR routes.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries while adhering to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,500.00 per week
