Hot Shot Driver – Houston, TX

Requirements:

• Must successfully meet all ATF and/or state or local requirements handling hazardous materials
• Class A CDL required with Hazmat Endorsement required
• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating hotshot trucks and trailers
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and FMCSA requirements
• Proficient in ELD systems, Hours of Service (HOS), and driver logs
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Knowledge of load securement, weight limits, and proper cargo handling
• Ability to complete BOLs, shipping paperwork, and required documentation accurately
• Clean driving record and commitment to safe driving
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening and maintain a valid medical certificate
• Available for local and OTR deliveries, including flexible schedules when needed
• Occasional forklift use to load/unload materials
• ATF background check is required
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check and Worksteps Functional Capacity Testing

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport equipment and materials to designated locations
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and comply with DOT Hours of Service regulations
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Properly secure loads and verify shipping documentation
• Follow all DOT, Hazmat, and company safety procedures
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and management
• Report on equipment issues, delays, and safety concerns immediately
• Maintain professionalism, accountability, and reliability
• Responsible for adherence to company rules, policies, and procedures
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, Country, State, Local and WLE regulations applicable to explosives operations
• Observes safety and security rules and procedures and immediately reports potentially unsafe conditions.
• Performs physically demanding activities when needed
• Ability to regularly lift and carry 10-75 lbs. may be necessary
• Driving company vehicles in a safe manner while observing Company and government regulations
• Ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations applicable
• Some shop duties, such as light facility maintenance, etc.
• Comply with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures. Complete relevant safety training.
