Hotel Assistant General Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments, ensuring seamless coordination and service excellence
• Supervise and manage hospitality teams, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and professional growth
• Implement and maintain hotel guest service standards to deliver memorable experiences that exceed expectations
• Manage hospitality operations budgets, including revenue management, cost control, and financial planning to maximize profitability
• Utilize property management systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation systems to streamline bookings, check-ins, check-outs, and guest data management
• Lead revenue management initiatives by analyzing market trends, occupancy rates, and pricing strategies to optimize room revenue
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, human resources procedures, health and safety regulations, and guest service standards
• Handle guest relations issues promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels and foster repeat business
• Conduct night audits and oversee financial operations such as billing accuracy and cash handling procedures
• Communicate effectively with managerial staff through managerial communication channels to coordinate strategies and operational updates

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience within the hospitality industry or hotel management setting
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
• Proficiency in property management systems (PMS), hospitality reservation systems, multi-line phone systems, and other relevant technology tools
• Knowledge of hotel guest service standards, front desk operations, night audit procedures, and phone etiquette
• Ability to oversee daily hotel operations while managing budgets and financial performance
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse clientele effectively
• Exceptional communication skills—both managerial and interpersonal—are essential for team management and guest interactions
• Experience in revenue management, human resources functions within hospitality settings, and managing hospitality operations budgets is preferred
