Hotel Assistant General Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Assistant General Manager to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties

• Oversee all aspects of daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments
• Supervise and manage hospitality teams, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring high standards of guest service
• Implement and monitor hotel management systems such as Property Management Systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation platforms to streamline operations
• Manage hospitality operations budgets, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial management to maximize profitability
• Lead revenue management initiatives by analyzing market trends, adjusting pricing strategies, and optimizing occupancy rates
• Ensure compliance with hotel guest service standards, guest relations policies, and safety protocols across all departments
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and promptness to ensure maximum satisfaction
• Collaborate with human resources on staffing needs, training programs, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives
• Conduct regular audits such as night audits and oversee the front desk operations including multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette
• Maintain excellent communication with team members through managerial communication practices to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory or managerial experience within the hospitality industry, preferably in hotel management or similar settings
• Strong knowledge of hotel management systems (PMS), property management software, and hospitality reservation systems
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively and motivate staff towards shared goals
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on exceeding guest expectations
• Experience in financial management including budgeting, revenue management, and controlling operational costs
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to support diverse guest populations and enhance team communication
• Familiarity with human resources practices related to staffing, training, and employee relations
• Knowledge of night audit procedures and front desk operations including multi-line phone systems and guest service standards
• Strong managerial communication skills combined with the ability to handle complex situations professionally
