Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced hotel breakfast attendant available Mon-Fri from 5am-11am to join our team at La Quinta Phoenix West / Glendale. Opportunity for earning tips available.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing and serving a delicious, high-quality breakfast buffet, ensuring all food safety standards are met, and providing exceptional in-person customer service. Your proactive approach will help set the tone for an enjoyable guest experience, making every morning memorable. Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all food items are fresh, appealing, and properly presented
• Assist with food preparation, including slicing, garnishing, and assembling breakfast offerings in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, buffet stations, kitchen equipment, and utensils through regular cleaning routines
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, toasters, coffee machines, and warming trays
• Ensure proper food handling practices are followed at all times to uphold food safety standards and sanitation regulations
• Provide friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating dietary needs or special requests

Requirements

• Previous experience in fine dining, food service, or hospitality is highly desirable
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety sanitizing procedures
• Ability to handle manual tasks such as weight handling in the workplace and operating kitchen equipment safely
• Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing inventory levels
• Familiarity with wine knowledge or beverage service is a plus but not required
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Ability to work early mornings as needed in a fast-paced environment
• Previous banquet or catering experience is advantageous but not essential
• Food industry or culinary experience that demonstrates your passion for hospitality excellence

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
