Hotel Breakfast Server/Banquets

Hilton Garden Inn Roanoke is looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing, and dependable breakfast server/banquets team member to provide an excellent guest dining experience. Good applicants will be able to provide attentive, professional service exceeding customers’ needs and expectations both in the restaurant and in banquet settings.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Present restaurant menu and take customer orders
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish restaurant inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage procedures and regulations
• Assist with serving tables in the dining room and working several rotating roles within banquet events

Skills

• Proven working experience as a server
• Computer literacy (prior experience with a restaurant POS is a strong plus)
• Line cook skills/experience is a plus
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar/server area/dining room organized, stocked, clean and presentable

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour

Experience:

• food service: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Food Handling Certification (i.e. ServSafe) (Preferred)
