Hotel Engineer

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and customer-service-oriented Hotel Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is a team player who takes pride in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning hotel environment while providing friendly and professional service to our guests and employees.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest room and hotel maintenance requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance throughout the property.
• Troubleshoot and complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical repairs.
• Perform painting, drywall repair, caulking, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas for maintenance concerns.
• Complete and document assigned work orders.
• Identify and report safety hazards or major repair needs.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and Engineering areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations when necessary.
• Work cooperatively with Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage, and other hotel departments.
• Interact with guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
• Follow all hotel safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and general repairs.
• Must work well with others and be a team player.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English with guests, coworkers, and management.
• Must have a friendly, professional, and customer-service-focused attitude.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use tools safely.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently when necessary.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Flexible availability based on hotel operations, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Schedule

Full-time position. Weekend and holiday availability may be required based on hotel operations.

Pay: $27.00 per hour
