Hotel Facilities Lead Engineer

Sempre Premier Inn is seeking a hands-on, multi-skilled Hotel Facilities Engineer to oversee the maintenance, operation, and upkeep of the hotel’s building systems and facilities.

The ideal candidate is a licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with broad practical experience across multiple building systems. This position requires someone who can supervise and direct maintenance staff while also being personally involved in troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and day-to-day engineering needs.

Pay is based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of the hotel’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC/air-conditioning, generator, pump, and other building systems.
• Supervise and direct maintenance staff, assign work, monitor completion, and ensure maintenance standards are followed.
• Perform and assist with hands-on troubleshooting and repairs when required.
• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for guest rooms, equipment, and hotel facilities.
• Oversee the operation, inspection, and maintenance of the hotel’s Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS) and other fire protection systems.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers for specialized repairs, inspections, and maintenance.
• Conduct regular facility inspections, identify problems before they become major issues, and follow through until repairs are completed.
• Maintain appropriate maintenance records, equipment logs, service reports, and related documentation.
• Ensure engineering and maintenance activities follow applicable safety requirements and hotel standards.
• Report significant maintenance issues, equipment concerns, and recommended improvements to management/ownership.

Qualifications

• PRC-licensed Mechanical Engineer or Electrical Engineer required.
• Preferably 2–5 years of relevant engineering or facilities maintenance experience, with hotel, condominium, or commercial-building experience an advantage.
• Broad MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) knowledge with practical troubleshooting ability.
• Multi-skilled, hands-on, and comfortable working outside of their primary engineering discipline when appropriate.
• Experience supervising or directing maintenance personnel.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and follow-through skills.
• Professional and dependable, with the ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality when handling internal information, records, reports, and company matters.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as operational needs require.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the hotel’s facilities, works well with both staff and outside contractors, and is equally comfortable leading the maintenance function and working hands-on when needed.

Pay: Php26,000.00 - Php32,000.00 per month
