We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and confident Hotel General Assistant to join our small, independent hotel team.

We’re an independent business and we pride ourselves on creating a friendly, supportive working environment where everyone pitches in and works together. This is a varied role, so no two shifts are necessarily the same!

What will you be doing?

As a General Assistant, you’ll be involved in different areas of the hotel, including:

• Breakfast service
• Hotel reception
• Housekeeping
• Bar service
• Ice cream hatch
• Coffee hatch
• Helping out wherever needed to keep the hotel running smoothly

We’re looking for someone who is happy to get stuck in and have a go at all areas of the business. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently and taking responsibility, while also being someone who enjoys being part of a team.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is 18 or over
• Has their own transport – due to limited public transport options and our shift times, this is essential
• Is reliable, friendly and approachable
• Is confident working independently
• Gets on well with others and enjoys being part of a team
• Is flexible and happy to work across different areas of the hotel
• Is willing to work a mixture of weekday and weekend shifts
• Is available for both daytime and evening shifts
• Has a positive, can-do attitude

Students are very welcome to apply, provided you are able to work throughout the year, including during school/university holidays. We need people who can commit to working during holiday periods as well as term time.
