Hotel General Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager to lead our hospitality team and oversee all aspects of hotel operations. Duties

• Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services to ensure smooth functioning.
• Supervise and manage hospitality teams, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes exceptional customer service standards.
• Implement and monitor revenue management strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive pricing and occupancy rates.
• Manage hospitality reservation systems and property management systems (PMS) to optimize booking processes and guest data accuracy.
• Develop and manage budgets for hospitality operations, ensuring financial targets are met through effective cost control and revenue enhancement initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of hotel guest service, ensuring guest relations are handled professionally with attention to detail in phone etiquette and multi-line phone system management.
• Coordinate human resources activities including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
• Lead property maintenance efforts to uphold safety standards, cleanliness, and overall property appearance.
• Foster positive relationships with guests, addressing concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to promote hotel services and amenities effectively across various channels.

Skills

• Multilingual or bilingual proficiency to communicate effectively with diverse guests and staff.
• Extensive experience overseeing daily hotel operations with a proven track record in hospitality management.
• Supervisory experience managing hospitality teams across multiple departments.
• Strong knowledge of revenue management techniques and financial operations within the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in hospitality reservation systems, property management systems (PMS), and other property-related software tools.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance excellence.
• Effective managerial communication skills for clear reporting, staff coordination, and guest interactions.
• Deep understanding of hotel guest service standards, customer service best practices, and guest relations strategies.
• Experience managing hospitality operations budgets with expertise in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of human resources practices related to hiring, training, employee development, and compliance.
• Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette for professional communication.
