Hotel General Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Hotel General Manager to lead our hospitality team and oversee all aspects of hotel operations. This pivotal role requires a passionate leader with exceptional managerial skills, a deep understanding of hospitality management, and the ability to deliver outstanding guest experiences. Duties

• Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk management, housekeeping, food and beverage services, and maintenance to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Supervise hospitality teams across departments, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to uphold hotel standards.
• Manage hospitality operations budgets, including revenue management strategies and cost control initiatives to maximize profitability.
• Implement and maintain property management systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation systems to streamline booking processes and improve guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with hotel guest service standards, guest relations policies, and health and safety regulations.
• Lead human resources functions such as staffing, training, employee engagement, and managing hospitality teams’ human resources needs.
• Handle financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, night audit procedures, and financial reporting to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Cultivate a welcoming environment by overseeing customer service excellence at all touchpoints—front desk interactions, phone etiquette on multi-line phone systems, and guest services.
• Develop strategies for enhancing guest satisfaction through personalized service initiatives and resort experience enhancements.
• Maintain effective communication with staff through managerial communication channels to promote teamwork and operational clarity.

Experience

• Proven supervisory or managerial experience within the hospitality industry, preferably in hotel or resort environments.
• Extensive knowledge of hotel management practices, including revenue management, budgeting, human resources, and financial management.
• Experience with property management systems (PMS), hospitality reservation systems, and night audit procedures.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance guest interactions in diverse markets.
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service standards and guest relations within a high-volume setting.
• Previous experience overseeing hospitality operations budgets and managing financial operations successfully.
• Familiarity with front desk operations including multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette is advantageous.
• Resort experience or background in managing hospitality teams in luxury or high-end environments is preferred.
