HOTEL GENERAL MANAGER

Salary: ₦400,000 – ₦450,000 Monthly

A large, full-service hotel and resort in Owerri, offering a wide range of amenities and hospitality services, is seeking an experienced Hotel General Manager to oversee its overall operations and drive service excellence, profitability and guest satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel and resort.

Lead and manage all departmental heads and hotel staff.

Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.

Ensure exceptional guest experience and high service standards.

Monitor revenue, expenses, budgets and overall financial performance.

Drive occupancy, revenue generation and business growth.

Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health, safety and regulatory requirements.

Manage staffing, performance, training and employee development.

Build strong relationships with guests, vendors and key business partners.

Monitor hotel facilities, maintenance and overall presentation.

Prepare regular operational and financial reports for management.

Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree/HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism Management or a related field.

Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager or senior hotel management professional.

Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales and Maintenance.

Demonstrated experience managing teams and departmental heads.

Strong financial, budgeting and revenue-management skills.

Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Strong understanding of guest relations and hospitality standards.

Ability to work under pressure and manage a large-scale hospitality operation.

Professional, strategic and results-oriented approach.
