Hotel General Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Hotel General Manager to lead our hospitality team and oversee all aspects of hotel operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing daily hotel functions, and driving overall business success. Your leadership will foster a welcoming environment, uphold high standards of service, and optimize operational efficiency to achieve financial goals. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with extensive experience in hospitality management, fluent in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities, and passionate about delivering outstanding guest relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Lead and supervise hospitality teams, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to foster a motivated and high-performing workforce.
• Manage hospitality operations budgets by monitoring expenses, controlling costs, and implementing revenue management strategies to maximize profitability.
• Ensure compliance with hotel management standards, property management systems (PMS), and hospitality reservation systems to maintain operational excellence.
• Develop and implement policies that enhance guest satisfaction while adhering to safety regulations and property standards.
• Handle guest relations by resolving issues promptly, maintaining high customer service standards, and cultivating positive guest experiences.
• Coordinate night audit procedures and oversee financial operations including billing accuracy, cash handling, and reporting.
• Utilize managerial communication skills to collaborate with staff across departments and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Conduct regular audits of property facilities and ensure maintenance issues are addressed swiftly to uphold property standards.
• Implement human resources practices related to staffing, training, scheduling, and employee engagement initiatives.

Experience

• At least 3 years of hotel management experience needed
• Choice hotels experience preferred
• Proven experience in overseeing hospitality operations within a hotel environment or similar setting.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience managing diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong background in hospitality management including revenue management, budgeting, financial operations, and customer service excellence.
• Familiarity with property management systems (PMS), hospitality reservation systems, multi-line phone systems, and night audit procedures.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to enhance guest communication across diverse populations.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage human resources effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills suitable for managerial roles involving stakeholder interaction at all levels.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
