Hotel General Manager

Role Description The Hotel General Manager role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a mix of on-site presence at the hotel and some work-from-home flexibility. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing daily hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest services, to ensure a high-quality guest experience. This role includes managing budgets and financial performance, monitoring occupancy and revenue, and implementing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining service standards. The General Manager leads and develops the hotel team, sets performance expectations, and fosters a collaborative and service-oriented culture. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with health, safety, and local regulatory requirements, coordinating with external partners, and supporting marketing and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong General Management and Business Management skills to oversee hotel operations and drive performance.
• Proven Customer Service experience with a focus on guest satisfaction, complaint resolution, and service quality.
• Budgeting expertise, including managing operating costs, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including menu oversight, service standards, and coordination with kitchen and service teams.
• Experience in hotel or hospitality management, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, balancing on-site leadership with remote coordination.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with hotel management systems, reservations platforms, and basic office software.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of local hospitality regulations and cultural expectations in Dubai and the wider UAE is an advantage.
