Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents
• Handle various cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitation of surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
• Manage the safe handling and storage of chemical agents in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure efficient workflow
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns
• Maintain cleanliness logs and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
• Ensure compliance with hotel housekeeping management policies and janitorial best practices

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles within hospitality or industrial cleaning environments
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, floor care products, and sanitation standards specific to hotels
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and extractors effectively
• Familiarity with chemical handling procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) to ensure safe use of cleaning agents
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, manual handling, and performing repetitive tasks
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe environment
