Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational facilities by executing routine floor care and janitorial tasks.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and colleagues.
• Operate cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor buffers, and industrial cleaning tools efficiently and safely.
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture, supplies, or equipment while adhering to safety protocols for custodial experience.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to respond effectively to incidents or safety concerns.
• Document sanitation activities accurately in logs or reports and maintain compliance with hotel housekeeping management standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial work with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning, floor care, and industrial cleaning methods essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation, chemical agent handling, and safety data sheets (SDS) requirements.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety protocols.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members alike.
• Prior experience with hotel emergency procedures and hospitality industry standards is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
