Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, changing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance.
• Handle chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and industrial scrubbers efficiently for optimal floor care and maintenance.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks involving furniture, linens, or supplies while following manual handling safety protocols.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, report maintenance issues promptly, and ensure compliance with sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques including floor care and industrial cleaning methods.
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely while understanding safety data sheets (SDS) requirements.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, vacuuming, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards is advantageous.
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols ensures a secure environment for all.
